The Karthi starrer Alex Pandian is slated for an October 12 release. According to the producers Studio Green, the talkie portion has been shot and the postproduction work is going on in full speed.
As per Studio Green spokesperson: “What remains to be shot are two songs and a fight. One song will be choreographed by Sivasankar master with Anushka, Sanusha and Nikitha along with Karthi while the second one is by Robert Master. Both are to be shot on lavish sets in a Chennai studio.”
There was speculation that due to the storm in Georgia, where Anushka is shooting for Irandam Ulagam, Alex Pandian’s release may be delayed since two songs with Anushka are remaining to be shot. But Studio Green is confident that once Anushka comes back the shoot will take place and the film will release as per schedule.
According to Studio Green, the film had run into hiccups due to the FEFSI strike and later Anushka had to proceed to complete her other films. But the producers are happy that the actor who had earlier worked with them in
Singam and done a cameo on request in Saguni, had been very understanding and co-operative and had adjusted her dates so that she could shoot for Alex Pandian from August 15th onwards.
The film is touted to be the highest budgeted film in Karthi’s career, with the budget even exceeding that of Siruthai which was a big hit last year. The locations, costumes, casting and stunts have all contributed to the extensive budget ofthe film say the producers.
Alex Pandian directed by Suraaj, is a full mass entertainer with heavy action, romance and comedy and stars three heroines with Karthi.
